As it seems to go every 6 months or so, its a battle of the collabs. Target vs Kohls. Though for once Kohls is launching before Target. A good two weeks before at that. I'm wondering how that will effect the sales of both companies or if it really will at all? In any case, after spending the last 3 or 4 months KonMaring my entire wardrobe (and yes its still going on), I'm going to try to be much better about what I end up purchasing. In other words, I am going to try very hard not to buy all the things.
I really don't know how well this is going to go.
I did a decently with Lilly Pulitzer for Target, but at the same time, I knew most of that collection wasn't really my style. Adam Lippes and Thakoon are another story. On the plus side, I do have a lot of things working in my non-spending favor. The Adam Lippes collection is very plaid. I mean its literally just all plaid. And, for the most part, its all the same plaid pattern.
These are two are top of my wishlist. You can see that the pattern is the same but the color and styles are different enough where I wouldn't feel like its too repetitive.
I'm also seriously considering this barware set. As much as I loved the Lilly line, it didn't match with our decor (that and MP hated it). This however, will go quite well with everything.
However, all of this really depends on this Thakoon for Kohls plaid vest.
It's a $120. $120! Ugh. Even considering that Kohl's does a 25% off the first week of launch, this is still a $90 vest. I don't know if I can do it. I don't think I've ever bought anything at Kohl's for that much. But its all sorts of amazing and the only thing that really stood out from the line.
This hooded scarf and cardigan are nice but overall the collection is so normal that it lacks incentive to pay the designer mark up.
You can check out the rest of the lookbooks here and here. Its a pretty short list for me this time around. What's yours look like?
P.S. We're headed to Boston this weekend. Any recommendations on places to eat?
