{Beauty} Julep Margit Polish Review

Julep Margit

I don't do a whole lot of nail polish swatches/reviews on this blog. This is mostly because I don't think I'm the best person to do so. I rock climb twice a week and that normally destroys whatever polish I do have on (though I have a friend who manages to climb and keep her manicure perfect. Obviously a much more graceful climber than I am :P). I also have no patience to do clean up or wait for my nails to dry, which often results in dents and chipping, etc, etc. I am trying to get better at this, so maybe there will be more swatches in the future. Maybe not. But the point of the matter is, that right now, if I am telling you about a polish - its a pretty darn big deal!

I got Margit in my January Julep Maven box. This is serious a great polish. I love the color (which is a mushroom with rose shimmer), but heck, I love a lot of colors. What makes this polish fantastic is that it is a.. wait for it.. one-coater. Yeah, no seriously. How rare is that? Julep polish can be hit or miss, but Margit hits it out of the ball park. The self leveling is fantastic, no streaks, completely opaque after one coat. In terms of chipping, I had a rare week where I (forgot) to climb and so I can tell you that the polish will not chip for over one week (normal activity level - lots of typing). Note: I did use a base coat (Essie ridge filler) and top coat (Seche Vite).

P.S. If you're interested in trying Julep the no risk way, they sell some of the shades at Sephora now. Easy peasy returns if you don't like. If you don't mind risking a I forgot to cancel/skip my subscription this month, you can get your first Julep box for free by clicking here (referral link).
