{Outfit} Channeling My Inner Hippie + Shabby Apple Winner announced!

My month of terror is coming to a close and I can't think of a better way to end it than with what I have planned for this weekend! I've got a birthday date with Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z thanks to my amazing FH. Six.. yes six large pizzas to split with a group of wonderful friends. And I will finally have all of my bridesmaids in one city so you better believe I'll be trying on wedding dresses! (\Though trying on wedding dresses the day after you plan on consuming a large pizza to yourself is really not a good idea! Lol!

All in all its been a great month, but I'll be honest, my wallet is glad to see it end. I have not done this amount of hardcore spending since Christmas and New Years! I still have a few birthday coupons left so I'm eagerly spending the last of it. Of all the things, I have to say that this dress is by far my favorite birthday present to myself. I've been eyeing since it first appeared on my Facebook wall at a whooping $168 (Q.Q). Amazingly I was able to snag my exact size during their Tag sale--with an extra 20% off. Uh huh, yes. I still can't believe it.

And it fits like a glove. FH likes to call it my hippie dress and its definitely got a lot of flower power going on with it. Of course I love it. The dress actually gives me more curves than I actually have (but in a flattering way of course)!

The price has dropped down to $50 now, though there aren't a whole lot of sizes left. One thing to note: I got my usual Anthropologie size (0P) and this dress is still too long for my 5'2.5" frame. Even with a 3" wedge, the dress skims the floor more than I'd like. Quite surprisingly considering its suppose to be a petite size!

In other news, the winner of the Shabby Apple giveaway has been chosen! Find out if you're a winner here.

Thanks for reading everyone! Hope you have a great weekend. Expect tons of concert and food photos to flood my Instagram account over the next few days. ;)

{Outfit} If you want I got, I got every day

This shirt.. seriously describes my life right now. I'm pretty much going through each day eyes half open, double fisting a triple shot latte in one hand and a Red Bull in another. Which is why I'm thankful for outfits like this. Easy and simple, but still looks stylish. There's absolutely nothing to fuss about; everything wears comfortably and I can just go about my day in a half daze.

I find myself craving more and more shirts like this. Nice graphic, but not too over the top or too young feeling. I've been a fan of graphic tees my whole life, but have been putting them on the back burner lately because I feel like I'm out growing them. And its a shame too! There really isn't anything more comfortable than a nice cotton tee.

So with that said, I'd like to share some tips I've developed in my search for more "adult" graphics.

❤ Look for simple graphics. Nothing with too many colors. ❤
❤ Graphics printed on neutral colored shirts such as whites, blacks, or greys tend to come across more clean and classic. ❤
❤ Ask yourself if you'd wear this shirt out on a date or with friends? Can it be dressed up? Or will you find yourself sleeping in it or pairing it with jeans and a pair of sneakers? ❤
❤ Pay attention to the fit! If it comes too close to resembling the shirts you got in high school for being part of a club, then it may not be the best shirt to wear out! Look for shirts that'll still show off your curves or that can be paired well with items that can. ❤

That's it! Hope you guys enjoyed and thank you for reading! And don't forget to enter in my Shabby Apple giveaway! ;) There's only a few days left.

{Giveaway} Win a dress from Shabby Apple

Taking a small break from the outfit photos this week. We had our housewarming party this past weekend and I basically spent all four days off cleaning and setting up our home. But its finally done.. and I can finally stop talking about it (and will instead be annoying you with how crazy wedding planning is making me :P). In any case, did you know that July is my birthday month? I like to call it my month of terror because everything is justified by "its my birthday month!" That dress from Anthropologie that I've been dying for and is now on sale for $70? Why not! Its my birthday month. Ask Anna to make not one, but two batches of cupcakes for me? Its my birthday month! Eat 10 slices of pizza in one sitting? Hope so! Its my birthday month!

Team up with Shabby Apple to giveaway an adorable vintage dress? Heck yeah! Its my birthday month!

Nuts right? Happy birthday to you from me ;) Well, from me and Shabby Apple that is!

Shabby Apple is an online boutique that spealizes in vintage clothing. I've been following them for a while now, so I was more than delighted when they reached out to me for this collaboration!

Since this is for my birthday, I'm making this super simple. Only two requirements to enter: 1) Be a follower of this blog of course! and 2) Leave a comment below with your email and which dress you would like to win.

You can chose from the three dresses pictured above: Admiral, Heart of Me, or Snapdragon. Please note that your size will need to be in-stock at the time of choosing.

I've included two bonus entries, one of which can be done every day, to give you more chances to win!

I'm super excited about this. Truth is I could've chosen a dress on my own and done a sponsored outfit post, but I have really been wanting to do something to reward my readers. I've had so much fun with this blog and it wouldn't be possible without all of your support. I can't think of a better way to celebrate than this! :)

Oh! One more little thing. Unfortunately this this giveaway is only open for my readers in the U.S. I do apologize for that! Hopefully I will have a worldwide one available soon.

Good luck everyone!

***This giveaway is now closed***

Congratulations Adrianne B.!! You won the Admiral Dress from Shabby Apple!

But thats not all folks! I decided that I wanted to do a couple surprise giveaways of my own. So congratulations Shawnda U. and Deb S.! You've both won a $10 giftcard to Shabby Apple.

To all the winners, please check the email address you used to enter the giveaway. You should be receiving an email from me shortly. If you don't see it, please feel free to contact me directly. :)

{Outfit} Happy Fourth of July

Ok.. so maybe I'm taking this whole stars and stripes thing a bit too literally. But it is the Fourth of July.. and when else can I get away with this kind of combination?

Oh yeah! I will seriously be rocking this look today.. though I'm not sure where. Haha, as of right now I have no where to go because we've been so busy planning for our house warming party, we didn't make any plans! Well.. hopefully something will turn up! Or I'll just sit at home listening to the fireworks, sitting in my Pearl by Marchesa dress and eating macarons.

Hmm. That actually doesn't sound like too bad of a night!

What's your Fourth looking like? However it goes, I hope you have a great one!
