Happy Holidays Everyone!

Hello Readers!

Its Kori again. The brat, Kaylee, is joining in on the fun today. Sorta. She's mostly pouting because her reindeer costume is too big for her, but the medium was too small. Apparently she's in between sizes or some crap like that. I hear my h00man complain about this quite often. Seems like a female problem to me.

Whatever. I look dashing and that's all that really matters right?

We're giving our h00man a bit of a break this holiday and taking over the blog. Our gift to her! But you see all those presents behind us? Not one of them is for us! What is up with that? I'm about to set the brat loose on some of her shoes as payback.

Though there are some stockings hanging above the fireplace. I keep trying to knock one down. I swear I smell bacon in one of them.

Happy holidays everyone! Thank you for making 2013 such a great year.

{Outfit} Batman in a fringe skirt!

Can I tell you a secret?

I hate fringe.

No, really, I do. Yet here I am, twirling around in a fringe skirt. One more to chalk up to the never say never category I suppose. I do adore this skirt. I found it while browsing a Forever 21 50% off sale a while back. Again, I hate fringe, but I was completely drawn to this and had to give it a try. I'm glad a did. Sometimes its good to go outside of your box. Sometimes it pays off!

And sometimes it means that you get to parade outside in a fringe skirt while wearing your favorite Batman shirt.

Dun na na na na na Batman!!!

Thanks for reading! Happy Thursday!

{Outfit} Metallics, Sparkles, and Spikes! Oh my!

Its December! Which means its time for all things sparkle! Except I don't usually wear sparkly things... Or do I? I think the winter cold has seriously infected my brain. I'm coveting all things that I never use to like. Sequins and sparkle, fur vests, and *gasp* even fringe. Not sure what is going on here, but who am I to stop evolution. Though I think FH may argue that this is de-evolution. At least I'm pretty sure that is what he was thinking when I got super excited at Uniqlo over a little fur vest.

I can't really speak to the new found interest in all things furry, but I blame the bling on Phillip Lim. I never realized how a bit of sparkle done in a subtle way really adds to an outfit. It started off with the sparkle tank and now this sweater (I may have also acquired the sparkle peplum in black :X). The sweater is a bit oversized and O-M-G comfortable, but the rolled sparkle collar is really what makes it golden. I don't have an urge to dress it up more than it already is. Its simple and fantastic for this crap weather.

P.S. I apologize in advance but the next few posts will be filled with, you guessed it, bling bling bling! ;)

{Outfit} Banana Republic Factory Holiday Looks: Flirty

It's a bit strange starting off the first post of December with huge rays of sunshine, but it is California and the sun has stayed out quite a bit this year. Granted, that hasn't stopped the freezing cold from rolling in every morning and some nights, but I suppose it is winter. As promised, this is my second holiday look from Banana Republic Factory Store. I purposely chose a dress that you wouldn't (or at least I didn't) expect to find at Banana Republic. I guess I always thinking of BR as place that is a bit more subtle and not as much into the louder prints.

Not that I'm complaining. This dress screamed "BUY ME" the minute I walked into the store. No, seriously. It was literally the very first dress you saw as you walked in and it was waving a huge sign saying "Pick me! Pick me!" Delusions aside, this dress is obviously not your typical kind of holiday dress; which is why I love it. It's a bit unexpected and not restricted to seasonal wear. I can easily see myself wearing this in the summer and winter. Again, it's all about how you dress it up.

Since I am trying to be more grown up and style this outfit for a more casual holiday event, I kept my make up neutral and went with a peachy shade for my lips. Every day eye make up (especially when you have a monolid) rarely changes the look of something. It's your lips that'll do the real talking. I chose a pair shoes that matched a color on the dress to keep the outfit from going over the top. However, I am itching to try a pair of leopard heels with the dress as well. As far as accessories go, I think almost anything is game given the color palette. I opted for an emerald green necklace to reflect the winter season and also because it stood out instead of blending in. The dress looks equally as charming with purple stones but lacked the bold, flirty feel I wanted to create.

I hope you've enjoyed this holiday look segment! Not like you needed a reminder, but the Banana Republic Factory Store 50% off all dresses event starts today! If you go, please comment below and let me know what you got! ;)
