True Story...

FH totally hijacked all of my outfit photos.

No, really. He did! They're all uploaded to his DropBox along with twenty million plane videos and photos and I cannot tell which ones are mine. X.x So I'm having to pick and chose until I find the right ones. Meanwhile, I'm currently working on my Kate Young for Target review and have a couple other collaborations reviews in queue as well (think Fashion Star, Joe Fresh, and more Marchesa!). Its been difficult to try and squeeze outfit photos in since, believe it or not, we're still not unpacked. This is how disorganized my life is unfortunately. I get through maybe half a box every week right now. Its really sad.

On the plus side, do you guys remember my spring cleaning project from last year?

Well. It didn't go so well. I blame the move. OK, more like I'm using the move as an excuse because I really could've gotten rid of things as I was packing, but we were in so much of a rush to pack after a while that I didn't really think about it. In any case, I kind of lost track what I actually wore and what I didn't (or more like I purposely forgot so I could keep it all?). How is this a plus? Well I came up with a new way on how to sort through your clothing and making those hard decisions on whether to get rid of something or not. So a lot of great posts to look forward to I promise you!

In the meanwhile, I restarted my 365 day project. I realize most people start 365 day project at the new year, and here it is now April. Well, I'm not totally crazy! April 13th is Thai New Year.. so it.. kind of works? Lets just pretend it does OK? This year should be a lot easier to track as I've decided to totally spam my Instagram account instead of trying to edit and add photos to a blog album every day. So if you're curious as how things are going, or you know, you're just plain bored, give me a follow! I promise I'm not totally boring. Every now and then I post something like robot cars smashing into each other.

{Outfit} Tapping toes and always looking at the time

Today's post is all about patience.

Patience is the most important thing that you need if you want to become a "budgetista". Patience and quick access to your credit card any ways. ;)

I'd been dying to purchase this Fashion Star x Express dress for a solid month now. Unfortunately, unlike when H&M was the lower bracket buyer, not every Express store carried this dress. To make matters worse, coupons don't work on any of the Fashion Star items. Ugh. What is a dress addict to do? Nothing.. nothing but wait.

Wait until that one weekend where Express decided to put their entire website at 40% off and yes! that did include Fashion Star items. So naturally.. I bought like one of everything. No, just kidding. Well, not really just kidding. I did buy most of the Fashion Star items, but its all going back minus this dress. See, I can be totally practical at times as well.

Though I can't really say that practicality has hit me with this La Mer watch yet. Well.. more like La Mer watches. I have been stalking The Wanderlust collection at Target even longer than I had been waiting on the Fashion Star dress! I think its been about six months since the line first launched at Target and even when they finally started to get marked down, it seriously took forever for the watches to hit 70%. It was not an easy wait. Lucky for me, I had Prabal to keep me company! Unlucky for me, the red and green La Mer watches also go fabulously with his line.

You see what FH has to deal with on these shoots? Don't know how he puts up with me sometimes! :D

In any case, I wanted to leave you guys with a mini review on these items, as well as some tips:

The Fashion Star dress runs a bit short in the torso. Its best to size up with this dress or it just gives you that pregnant look. The material is fantastic and super comfortable. The dress is fully lined with a heavy type of nylon/polyester--which is great since the first day I wore this dress out it was windy and the wind decided to pick up the cotton skirt right up! Thank goodness for the lining! It didn't budge at all. I personally don't think its worth the $70 price tag, but at 40%? Its right on the money!

The La Mer watches are really amazing. The wrap version that come with the chains are (at least to me) a higher quality than the non-chained version. While they're not worth the full price tag, I'd say getting the chained version at 30-50% is a pretty good deal. The faux leather is soft and flexible and mine has held up pretty well so far.

Have a great weekend everyone!

{Outfit} Men and Shoes

I seriously love how the men in my life are constantly adding to my shoe collection. There were the Etienne Aigner Chastity boots that FH got me, the Steve Madden Pammyy wedges my friend got me for Christmas, the Jeffrey Campbell x Solestruck Winona boots from Ryan Gosling, and now... there's Prabal.

Yes, you heard right. We're totally on a first name basis now that he's added shoes to my collection. And no, I'm not talking the absurd amount of shoes I purchased from the Prabal Gurung for Target collection. I'm not even talking about one pair of shoes. I'm talking about twelve.

Oh my closets are sighing with glee at just the thought of it.

How is this possible you ask? Well.. sometime last month DSW posted a styling contest. For three days they would post three different shoes and all you needed to do was submit an outfit that you would style with those shoes. Lucky, lucky me. I actually got chosen. I was seriously amazed. Like no way in hell I can't believe this happened amazed. The prize? A year of shoes. Every month I get to chose a pair from Fergalicious by Fergie Footwear. Its insane right!? FH is so not happy. Hahaha, we just moved into a new house and already I'm filling it up with more than it can bear!

But ugh! I'm ecstatic! And its all thanks to my love for Prabal and this amazing blazer! That means I can never ever get rid of this blazer right? And why would I? Its absolutely amazing and so comfortable.

One thing that I seriously love about Target and its collaborations is that Target always managed to put out matching items in their everyday lines. Like this belt. It matches the lime green yellow that is in PG line exactly. Coincidence? I think not. Then again lime green seems to be a hot item right now. I even found a matching polish on sale at Sephora (that came with a new found love for Illamasqua... my poor wallet).

Happy Thursday!

{Art} Gimme some giant panda lovin'

Samsung came out with the Galaxy Note tablet a while back. We were in the mall and there was this huge platform with a demo going on. Initially, we both glanced at the demo and continued to walk on... that is until I realized there was a sketch artist as part of the demo.

I immediately stopped in my tracks and ran over to the platform.

Could it be? Was it true? Finally a tablet with a pressure sensitive pen feature!?

No. Freaking. Way.

But yes. It was true.

I started squealing with joy and grabbed one to try out. While it wasn't everything I hoped for (but c'mon lets be realistic, what I really hope for is a Cintiq), it was perfect for on-the-go kind of sketching. Lucky for me the write to text function entrapped the fiance as well and he ended up purchasing one a week later.

I've only had a chance to play with it a few times since, but I'm severely in love. One day, I will save up so I can have one of my own to take with me everywhere. As much as I love my pens and pencils, I've always been very attracted to the graphic element of illustration. This would be such a perfect way to combine the two.

On another note, now that baseball season is really starting up, I'm hoping I can find a "Got Panda?" shirt to add to my wardrobe!

Put your hand on the glass, I'll be tryin' to pull you through

Why does moving invoke so much chaos in one's life? Lol. I love our new house, but its been over a week now and I just want the chaos to end. It still stands that the only thing set up inside of the house is the kitchen. Our whole move in processed ended up being so rushed that we didn't have a chance to paint before we moved in either! So that still needs to be done. Or never done. More likely the latter because once your moved in, its hard to move out and go back right? Haha extreme laziness.

On the plus side, the whole process of getting to the move got so drawn out that we actually had time to squeeze in some engagement photos. Can you guess who our photographer was? Yep. None other than our too awesome friend Bryant. You can see more photos on his blog. This session was probably the most fun I've ever had doing a photoshoot. It was nice to have someone to bounce off of--someone that I'm obviously already very comfortable with--so I felt like a lot of the poses came naturally. Out of all of them.. this one is totally my favorite. For obvious reasons.

I mean... can't you just see the amount of love and admiration between the two of us. And by the two of us, I mean the ring and I. ;)

Happy Thursday!
